WMP won’t run on Ubuntu unless you use an emulator like Wine. It’s still kind of iffy, though. There are other media players that come with Linux. VLC is my favorite – it plays both video and audio. Banshee is a nice audio player.
WMP will not work on Ubuntu. Take a look at native applications
MPlayer for video

Rhythmbox for audio

MPlayer is available in the Ubuntu Synaptic Package Manager and Rhythmbox is preinstalled

I downloaded a few youtube videos and when i put them in my windows media player library, the app crashed on me. I could open it up later but everytime i go to the videos section, it crashes. I’m trying to delete the videos i put in by right clicking and deleting but sometimes it crashes before i get to.
Rub a old bar of soap into the tracks of the window. that should help the window moove more freely.

Mac DVD to iPhone software is the best iPhone movie converter for Mac which is able to convert iPhone video on Mac OS X.

Also ants hate bar soap……
I used some ant killer and stupidly enough I put the damn solution on the tracks of my sliding windows. They are wooden frames. the next day when i tried to open my windows, surprise! Now they are stuck like i put some sort of super industrial glue in there!
It depends on if your BIOS allows booting from USB. If it does, you should be able to by principle. Although, I’ve never tried it. I have although, installed from a Flash Drive. (USB) If you’d like to try installing from a flash drive, try this: http://myeeeguides.wordpress.com/2008/11/15/winsetupfromusb-install-windows-xp-from-usb-flash-drive/
Good luck.
